A Norwegian honour for Vice Consul Fiona

A Donside woman has been awarded the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit for her outstanding service as Vice Consul in the North-east of Scotland.

Fiona Stevenson, who lives in the Alford are , advises on Norwegian maritime administration.

Norwegian Consul in Aberdeen, and partner in Deeside firm, Mackinnons Solicitors, Keith Macrae, said: “Since becoming Vice Consul, Fiona has done great work for the Norwegian Community in Aberdeen and the North-east, and has become recognised as a leading authority in the UK on Norwegian maritime administration.

She is very highly regarded by the Norwegian Embassy and Consulate in London and her skills have also been used in connection with our firm’s Norwegian commercial transactions”.

Fiona has worked for a number of years in Aberdeen but more recently has recently become well known in Deeside where she works in the office of local solicitors, Mackinnons in Aboyne.
