Breast screening

The North-east of Scotland mobile breast screening service will be in Banchory from mid-February till March 29, with two units based at Bellfield car park.

Women aged 50 to 70, registered with the Banchory Group Practice and Torphins Medical Practice will be invited to attend. Older women are not sent an invitation, but are encouraged to make their own appointment by contacting the screening centre on (01224) 550570. The aim is to detect breast changes at an early stage when treatment has the best chance of success. Women invited for the first time are strongly encouraged to attend.

It is important that anyone who has been screened before or missed a previous appointment in the last three years takes up the offer.
