Tullynessle Hall is the venue for the sceeening of an award winning film later this month.
Blood in the Mobile is by Danish director Frank Poulsen who asks: What is the price of a text message? This is the question that takes him on a hugely personal journey to connect Africa’s ‘heart of darkness’ with the ivory towers of European multinationals. In the past 15 years, five million people have died in Congo’s civil war. The UN has consistently reported a connection between the conflict and the control of the international trade in minerals used in products such as mobile phones and computers. This is part of the Take One Action Film Festival touring the country. The film was the winner of the Cinema for Peace Justice Award 2011, Berlin
