Get expert help with tracing your ancestors

Have you ever wondered about your ancestors, who they were, what they did? If you have always wanted to investigate your family tree then now is the time to take that first step.

As part of St Ternan’s Jubilee Fair, members of the Aberdeen & North East Scotland Family History Society (ANESFHS) will be available at Banchory Museum on Saturday, June 2 from 11am – 3pm. to give members of the public help and advice.

If you are a beginner, they will help you set up your first family tree and show you how to record your information.

If you have already done some research but have come to a halt, the FHS members will show you how to get your searches going again.

There will also be some interesting books and leaflets on local history for those who would like to know how to find out about the history of their home, street, village or town.

For more information about ‘ANESFHS at the Museum’ call the Society on 01224 646323 or contact the Museum at BanchoryHeritage@aol.com.
