Public meeting for Crathes, Drumoak and Durris residents

Crathes, Durris and Drumoak Community Council (CDDC) is holding a public meeting next Wednesday to discuss the number of significant planning applications for the area.

The meeting on February 29 is in Drumoak Church Hall and starts at 7.30pm.

The Community Council says it wants to consult local residents on the proposals for a retail development, a new ‘eco’ village and others which are all in the pipeline for the CDDCC area.

A spokesperson said: “Some of the developers have held public meetings and consultations, however the Community Council wants to consult and co-ordinate discussion and debate itself, so that it can clarify what the public response to these proposed developments is.

We also wish to clarify planning policy and process.”

The planning proposals include a crematorium and a Stewart Milne development for Crathes and Kincluny Development Trust’s ‘eco’ village and Brodie Countryfayre retail outlet at Drumoak.

All interested local residents are urged to attend the meeting.
