Westhill HQ appoints new director

Westhill based Technip has appointed a new human resources and communications director for its North Sea Canada (NSC) region and fleet management division.

Frank Simons, 45, originally from The Hague, has joined the regional headquarters for NSC and Technip’s fleet management division in Westhill.

Frank has spent the last 1.5 years in Paris with Technip Group as group project management officer. Prior to that he was HR manager for the company’s Benelux entity in Holland. He succeeds Katrine Sharp who has recently moved to Paris to take a role in the subsea division.

Frank said: “I have joined the region at an exciting time; the market is really picking up and there are many prospects in a variety of roles and disciplines.

I look forward to working and living in the North-east of Scotland, an area of great opportunity.”

Technip employs 26,500 people and is present in 48 countries and operates a fleet of specialized vessels for pipeline installation and subsea construction.
