The Aboyne Summer Charity Ball Committee have presented the first of their two chosen local charities with a cheque for £2050.

This year’s ball was held in June at Aboyne Victory Hall in aid of the Forget-Me-Not Club [Deeside Dementia Support] and Multiple Sclerosis Society [Aberdeen Branch].

Owing to the local business sponsorship, and the continuing support of the local community, the ball was able to raise approximately £4000 - enabling the committee to give approximately £2000 to each charity.

The first to receive the money was The Forget-Me-Not Club last week.

Two of the Aboyne Summer Charity Ball Committee members present the volunteers and their clients with a cheque fon Monday of this week.

The committee members were warmly received and enjoyed a lovely morning with the volunteers, clients and their carers.

Bennett House, The Forget-Me-Not Club Resource Centre in Banchory, is a new building providing people with dementia and their carers a safe place to come to socialise and be supported.
