Dr Scott bids farewell to Aboyne practice

Dr Judith Scott has examined her last patient after 24 years as a partner at Aboyne Medical Practice.

Colleague Dr Lizzie Finlayson, said: “Judith was well respected by colleagues and patients alike and she will be greatly missed. Her endless patience, astute judgement and fount of local knowledge were appreciated by many over the years.”

A retirement dinner was held at Buchanan’s Bistro for staff, colleagues and their partners at which Dr John Glass’ speech outlined Judith’s time in Aboyne. Karen Dow recited an amusing poem she had written.

Various gifts were given ranging from a gold pen to a dog bowl.

Bob Watt and John Milne presented Judith with a cheque in recognition of her contribution as a local GP On behalf of the community and wished her a long and happy retirement.

While retiring from General Practice, Dr Scott will be continuing her involvement in medical student teaching.

Dr Heather Crilly is a replacement partner at the Aboyne Practice.
