Three men appeared in court last week to deny murdering a Monymusk father outside a nightclub in Aberdeen city centre.
Kiel Hauley, 33, Jonas Marcius, 22, and Adrian Morley, 33, are charged with killing oil worker Craig Grant outside the Galleria shopping centre last August.
Prosecutors allege they struck Mr Grant, 26, on the head and body and compressed his neck.
At the time of his death relatives of Mr Grant described him as a: “devoted family man”.
They said in a statement: “Craig was at his happiest when spending time with his son Owen and wife Fiona.
“He will be sorely missed and his loss will leave a hole in the lives of everyone who knew him.” Judge Lord Boyd continued the case until December.
