A DONSIDE football club returned home winners after taking part in The Holland Easter Classic Football Tournament 2007.
Westdyke Boys Club U14s travelled to Haarlem, Holland, for the two-day tournament. After playing in four qualifying games the boys then went on to compete in the finals, in which they were undefeated. Captain Stuart Wilkie collected the trophy at the presentation ceremony.
Head coach Vic Roger said: "The tournament is the most renowned European Tournament for boys clubs and it provided an excellent opportunity for the boys to experience European sport and cultural exchange."
The group also had the opportunity to experience a training session at a local Dutch club, visit the Amsterdam Arena and enjoy a trip to Duinrell Theme Park in Wassenaar.
"The trip was a great success, the lads really enjoyed themselves and the weather was superb throughout," said Mr Roger.
