YOUNGSTERS at Skene and Elrick primary schools are currently being coached by the pros in a football scheme sponsored by McDonalds.
The programme, aimed at primary seven children, involves a 20-week coaching plan from Aberdeen Football Club as well as game situations.
This initiative is part of the Shell Dons in the community team. Each pupil receives a logbook where they input their heart rate before, during and after exercise. The logbook also provides a breakdown of each week and covers aspects related to a healthy lifestyle.
The scheme is the start of a four-year programme funded by McDonalds in partnership with the Scottish Football Association.
