Culter shrugged off a spirited Banchory display to progress to the next round of the Regional Cup in front of a good festive crowd at Crombie Park.

Jamie McAllister was once again the hero with a hat-trick whilst a double from Jindrich Biskup nearly took the biscuit for Saints with a first half double.

It looked like a repeat of the mauling from the recent league game when The Deesiders scored in the first minute as Jamie McAllister latched on to a Scott McArthur pass to slam the ball home past the unguarded Murray Buchan.

This however proved not to be the case when Jindrich Biskup scored an absolute beauty from well outside the area to level the scoring.

The Crathes men nearly took the lead soon after when Ben McGregor had a pile driver brilliantly saved by Neil Duffy.

However they did go in front from the spot in the 13th minute when the Culter ‘keeper was adjudged to push an opponent. Biskup stepped up to send the Culter goalkeeper the wrong way.

The match was level four minutes later when the impressive Ian Leith was felled in the box and McAllister did the needful by sending a perfect penalty low into the corner.

The Deesiders had a raft of chances as the half progressed but failed to capitalise on the opportunities.

The second half started in the same vein as the first when a great cut back by Leith was curled impressively home by Allan Youngson.

In a rare surge upfield Saints had a strong penalty claim turned down but in general it was one way traffic as Culter introduced Darryn Kelly for his first start of the season.

Mike Taylor and McAllister missed a series of chances but Leith scored a stunner following good lead up work from McArthur and McAllister.

The home side then one a series of corners and eventually they went nap when a Youngson corner was headed home by McAllister to complete the scoring. Culter did have the ball in the net once more but Taylor was deemed to have been offside.
