Westhill triathlete shines in Inverurie

WESTHILL triathlete Lewis Murchie finished fifth in Sunday's gruelling Inverurie Triathlon.

Eighty-nine competitors completed the demanding course, which included a 28K bike, in very hot conditions.

Lewis, the only junior competing in the race, finished with a time of one hour 26 minutes and 22 seconds.

Peter Fenwick (Thurso Amateurs SC) won the event with a time of one hour 21 minutes and 52 seconds.

Next up for Lewis, pictured, is the Stirling Triathlon on Sunday (June 7).
