Examples include the additional documentation needed if driving abroad, limits on alcohol that can be brought back to the UK, and steps to take if travelling with a pet.
The site emphasises the importance of having health insurance and outlines holidaymakers’ consumer rights.
There is also advice on how to avoid scammers trying to take advantage of any confusion following Brexit, and how to deal with unfair terms in any consumer contracts.
While the service is aimed directly at consumers, there is also useful advice for some businesses as well, such as the impact of leaving the EU on buying goods from the EU.
The site is operated by the charity Advice Direct Scotland, which runs Scotland’s national advice service – advice.scot.
The brexitadvice.scot site includes a freephone number for advice – 0808 800 9060 – and live webchat options.

Scottish Government Minister for Business, Jamie Hepburn, welcomed the opportunity for consumers to be able to access advice on how Brexit will affect them.

“This new service will provide clear, impartial advice on a host of issues that consumers and businesses now face.
“It will assist in our ongoing work to do everything we can to advise citizens, and support business, through the many consequences of Brexit.”
