Aboyne Academy Parent Council is holding a Silent Auction to try and raise funds for the school.
The Auction will take place on Friday March 27 at 7pm in Torphins Primary School.
Last year the Piper covered a similar event from Aboyne Academy which was praised throughout the community.
The money raised will be used to help the school buy new books and equipment, which has become necessary following the introduction of the new exam system.
There are already a rich variety of lots on offer and they range from gliding, maths, tennis or canoeing lessons, flower arranging and Beekeeping workshops, to whisky tours and bike maintenance.
Spokesperson for the Aboyne Academy Parent Council, Pamela Bruce said: “We have a few pieces of art for auction on the night amongst which is from local artist Ingeborg Bodziach who is kindly donating her interactive community painting for the event.
“We also have firewood, home baking and meals from well known watering holes all up for grabs.
“Bring all your friends and family it is sure to be a fun but perhaps competitive evening.
“If anyone wishes to offer any items or services as lots for the event then please contact Pam Bruce on email firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 013398 82482.
“Aboyne Academy parent Council would like to thank everyone who has donated something for the event.
“It is very much appreciated.”
