Calling all thespians: Banchory panto needs you

Are you Grumpy, Dopey, Sleepy, Happy, or Bashful...well however you’re feeling, this year’s Banchory Panto would love to hear from you.

Snow White and the Seven Drawfs - no it’s not a typo - will be on stage in the town hall this December - oh yes it will.

The production is based on the traditional tale we all know and love but with a twist; Drawfs stands for the Democratic Republic of Winsome Folks.

Snow White is a German fairy tale known across much of Europe and is today one of the most famous fairy tales worldwide. The Brothers Grimm published it in 1812 in the first edition of their collection Grimms’ Fairy Tales.

There have been hundreds of diffrent takes on it throughout entertainment history but Banchory Panto have a flair for originality.

Mike Reilly, the Director, says, “We produced a very successful show last year with ‘Peter Panto’ but thought we’d try something a little different this time. It promises to be another Christmas cracker but we still need a lot of help”.

The pluck production company are searching far and wide for a Musical Director or anyone who can sing, act or just likes to perform, as well as designers, painters, make-up artists, joiners or anyone who’d like to work hard and enjoy a laugh.

Auditions will be held in the Lesser Town Hall on Monday (August 25) and Thursday (August 28) at 7.15pm.
