Eight young musicians will be playing numerous conerts throughout Deeside as part of their tour through the Cairngorms National Park.
The Feis Spe Cairngorms Ceilidh Trail will be visiting the Deeside Inn on Friday, July 24, the Quoich and Stag Ballroom at Mar Lodge on Saturday, July 26, Buchanan’s Bistro at Woodend Barn on Sunday, July 27, and Balmoral Castle and Braemar Village Hall on Tuesday, July 28.
The eight young musicians have been training for the past few months to continue the Feis Spe Cairngorms Ceilidh Trail, which has been going for the past nine years.
Caroline Sterritt, Development Officer for Feis Spe, said: “The tour gives the young mucisians a taste of life on the road, but supported by a supervisor and Feis Spe staff.
“It is a unique opportunity for young mucisians to share their skills and enthusiasm with a wide audience.”
Feis Spe is a youth arts charity aimed at offering a programme of traditional music tuition for young people in the Cairngorms National Park, with Gaelic language and culture at the heart of its activities.
This year, as well as six mucisians from Feis Spe, two young Irish musicians from their cultral exchange partners in Donegal will be joining the Trail.
Feis Spe is funded by its parent organisation, Feisean nan Gaidheal (the National Association of Traditional Gaelic Youth Music Festivals).
