A wellbeing event for cancer sufferers, which was held in Banchory West Church Halls last week, has been hailed as a huge success. The CLAN Wellbeing Day saw a number of people attend to support people going through cancer treatment.
The CLAN team was on hand to offer expert advice and tips on everything from which foods to eat pre and post surgery to mastectomy lingerie and prosthesis. Taster menus and mocktails were also available, all tailored to benefit people with cancer.
Local business Riah Hair and Beauty, which offers a specialist wig service, was at the event with therapists providing taster treatments and products. Owner Julie Sangster said: “We have for some time now been working alongside cancer organisations in the supply and fitting of customised wigs and organic products which can be used during treatment.”
