Police are looking for three vehicles thought to have false registration plates following a raid of a Banchory supermarket last month.
Officers from the Specialist Crime Division are appealing for anyone who may have seen the following vehicles in the Aberdeenshire area between January 18 and January 21 to contact police.
The vehicles are a white Fiat Ducatto campervan displaying the plates HF03ZTD, a blue BMW 135i car displaying the plates GP08HWO and a blue Audi RS4 estate with the plates KX13KNH.
All three vehicles are believed to have been bearingfalse registration plates.
The cars are being sought in relation to a raid on Morrisons supermarket in Banchory at around 3am on Wednesday, January 21.
A five-figure sum of cash was stolen from the premises when thieves targeted two ATMs at the store.
Detective Inspector Stewart Mackie, who is leading the investigation, said: ““The Ducatto campervan in particular is likely to catch someone’s attention as it’s a distinctive type of vehicle.
‘‘Members of the public who may have information about these vehicles are asked to contact police on 101 or alternatively they can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if they wish to remain anonymous.”
