Pupils and staff from Alford Academy’s Expedition Team set off on their three week adventure in Zambia and Botswana at the end of term.
The expedition will include a trek through the Batoka Gorge where the might Zambezi River carves its way through the African countryside.
Also included as part of the trip will be a community project in the village of Mwandi to build a traditional dwelling for elderly residents and orphans.
The staff and pupils will also get to experience a safari as well as a trip to Victoria Falls.
The trip truly is a once in a life time experience and The Piper would like to wish all involved a great trip.
