Four free events for young nature explorers are planned in and around the Balmoral Estate this summer, starting on July 16.
The estate’s Ranger Service has planned a series of exciting activities including river rambles, a butterfly bonanza and fun activities to learn about birds, trees and all kinds of nature in the land and water courses.
Sessions will include creative games and storytelling and there is no age restriction as previous events have proved just as much fun for teenagers as for toddlers.
The freestanding events take place every Thursday from July 16 to August 6 inclusive.
Two will be based near Balmoral Castle, one at the Spittal of Glen Muick and the Butterfly Bonanza on 30th July starts in the middle of Ballater.
The popular butterfly event is run jointly by rangers from Balmoral and Aberdeenshire Council in association with Butterfly Conservation.
All events run from 2pm to 4pm and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. All details are on the Balmoral Estate website and booking is essential.
Telephone 013397 55059 for more information about the events.
