Kincardine O’Neil Twinning group made their biennial visit to Thun St. Martin in NE France for the 14 July celebrations.
Unfortunately the Scottish weather followed them, but despite the cool showery conditions everyone had a great time re-acquainting themselves with their hosts and visiting the towns of Douai and Cambrai.
In Cambrai the group learned how to play Billon – a game found only in the local area where long club-like sticks are used and tossed at a post .
The local club showed off their skill and some of the visitors made a good impression with their speed in learning the game.
The visit ended with a giant BBQ attended by 160 people, followed by games including a tug of war.
