Tomorrow marks the opening of the Knockburn Loch Sports Academy, and a day of celebration is planned in recognition of the hard work that has gone into Knockburn over the past 12 months.
The official opening of the building will take place at midday, but in the morning there will also be an informal duathlon (run, bike, run), for children and for adults. This will start at 10:15am, with registration starting at 9:30.
The new facility will be opened by Jane Moncrieff, Chief Executive Officer of Triathalon Scotland.
Following the opening there will be a Knockburn ‘Mini Beast’ (for ages 5-11), model yacht sailing, a Nordic skiing demonstration on the cycle track, and an egg and tyre challenge.
