Local dog rehoming charity, DAWGS, is appealing for help to find a new home for one dog on its books who so far has failed to attract any interest.
Lukie ( pronounced Looky), a handsome, lovable seven years-old Border Collie has been looking for a new home for almost two months now but so far the right match has not been found.
The charity, based in Aberdeen, accepts and re-homes dogs from throughout the North East area.
It carefully matches new owners and dogs and does home checks and follow up checks for the safety and well being of every dog and to ensure the best possible chance of a "tail" with a happy ending.
DAWGS Chairman, Ian Paterson said: " Lukie is a friendly, clever dog and will make the ideal pet for the right family. We are looking for an active, country home where his new owners have the time to take him for long walks every day and have a secure, enclosed outdoor space for him to play in.
"An adult only, or home with older children (12 and above), perhaps with previous collie experience would suit him best. We have found loving new homes for lots of other dogs since taking Lukie on. We know Lukie's new forever family is out there - we just have to find them. "
He urged anyone who could give Lukie the home he needs to contact the charity's re-homing team on 01224 208989, email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit their websitewww.dawgs.co.uk.
