As part of Visit Deeside’s Food and Fiddle Fortnight, The Mains of Drum held a ‘Food Tasting’ event in its foodhall on Thursday, October 15.
Customers were able to meet some of the local suppliers and sample their amazing produce.
HM Sheridan Butchers of Ballater cooked up a storm with their array of sausages and JG Ross Bakers from Inverurie brought a beautiful selection of their breads and cakes to try.
AJ Sutherland Fish suppliers from Portsoy held a prize draw to win a hamper and Miranda Ross from The Mains of Drum is pictured drawing the winning entry.
The afternoon was a great success and being part of Visit Deeside’s Food and Fiddle Fortnight was a great opportunity to showcase some of Scotland’s amazing produce.
Royal Deeside’s Food & Fiddle fortnight came to a close last weekend with a number of musical performances.
Organised by Visit Royal Deeside, Food and Fiddle Fortnight is an annual celebration of the area’s culinary and cultural talents and heritage.
The two-week festival drew to a close on Sunday evening, by which time more than 60 events had been held at venues across Deeside and Donside, bringing together local food producers, businesses and musicians.
