Honey Bee Good Beer from Six°North, Elvis Juice from Brewdog and Red Rye from Deeside Brewery have been hand-picked by ALDI to be included in the supermarket’s tenth Scottish Beer Festival – on sale now.
The in-store event is expected to generate sales worth more than £175,000 for the breweries involved.
ALDI’s expert buyers have carefully selected 35 different beers in total from some of Scotland’s best breweries.
ALDI launched its first Beer Festival in 2012 and since then, over £1.4 million in sales has been generated for the Scottish breweries involved. This autumn, the tenth in-store Beer Festival is expected to be worth in excess of £175,000.
ALDI’s Scottish Beer Festivals give many small breweries their first major retail listing and 33% of the beer selected to feature in this autumn’s in-store festival are being stocked by ALDI for the first time. For those with a favourite from previous Beer Festivals, 23 of the best-sellers are returning to shelves while stocks last.
Michael Whiteford, Buying Director ALDI Scotland, said: “What better way for us to help aid the transition into the autumn months than by launching our tenth beer festival – a celebration of some of the best breweries in Scotland.
“We’ve built a strong relationship with each brewery and with demand for local produce higher than ever, we’re expecting the Beer Festival to be a sell-out success.
“We look forward to working with these new and existing suppliers to bring our customers a great selection of Scottish beer at the best prices.”
