Emilie Reid 8 years old, from Balmoral estate, has taken it upon herself to help out children who are less fortunate than herself.

The Crathie primary school pupil thought it would be nice to do something good for other people and raised money for the Little Princess Trust (LPT) by getting 10inch cut of her hair.

She then donated the hair to LPT, who make real wigs for children who have lost there hair due to cancer treatments. So far Emilie has raised over £1000.

Her family are very proud of her selfless act.

Mother, Emma Reid said: “I would like to thank ahead of hair in Cumnock for donating the wash and cut of her hair and Charlene Clelland made a fantastic job of it, and I would like to thank each and every one who donated to the charity we are so grateful, thanks very much.”
